What is surgical stainless steel? SUS316L (hereinafter referred to as 316L stainless steel) is an accessory made from the highest quality 316L stainless steel used in medical equipment. This material has the characteristic of being rust-resistant. It is said to be almost equivalent to common precious metals such as 18K gold and platinum 900, making it an ideal material for those with metal allergies.
